French newspaper L’Equipe is reporting that Chelsea are looking to re-sign Ryan Bertrand from Southampton.

The England international was sold to the Saints for £11million in the 2015 January transfer window after the player spent a spell on loan at the St Marys.

The Blues will have a fight on their hands if they want to sign the 27 year old this summer though with the left back now interesting Manchester City and Liverpool, according to L’Equipe.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is definitely seeking the strengthen his wing back options for next season with Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta confirming the Serie A club had received a “very high offer” from the Blues for their full back Alex Sandro.

With a deal for Sandro proving difficult after a reported £52.5million bid was rejected, it maybe the case that Conte is looking at other alternatives with Bertrand perhaps being considered as a potentially cheaper option to the Brazilian.
