France Football are reporting that Chelsea have yet to agree personal terms with Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, and that the two sides are still “quite apart” over the wages the 22 year old will be given.

English media reports have been pretty unanimous that a £35million deal will be completed at some point this week, and although that may still be the case, it seems the Frenchman is holding out for a higher salary than he is currently being offered.

Negotiations are believed to be resuming in the next few days over the wage dispute, according to France Football, so if all goes well then a deal by Friday is still on the cards.

With the transfer window officially opening on Saturday, it is more than likely that an announcement could be made then, although there seems to be some work to do still to get the signing over the line.

Bakayoko made 51 appearances last season for Monaco in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
