Lyon expect to complete the signing of Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore by the end of the week, according to L’Equipe (via Tuttomercatoweb).
The French club have emerged as front runners for the Burkina Faso international, and it seems as though talks between the winger and the Ligue One side are at an advanced stage.
Traore had impressed out on loan at Ajax last season, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists in 39 games for the Eredivisie outfit. The forward has played just 16 times in all competitions for Chelsea with a loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem also to his name.
The winger joined the Blues from Auzerre’s youth team in October 2013 but despite his development as a player since then, it seems Chelsea are willing to let him go on a permanent transfer.
Reports in France have indicated that Chelsea have received up to six bids for Traore with an asking price set at €20million. Whether the fee that Lyon have proposed is near that figure, we may find out soon.
