Racing Roma goalkeeper Reinis Reinholds looks set to join Genoa, according to GianlucadiMarzio.com. The Latvian reportedly had a trial at Chelsea last month but it looks as though he will be moving to the Serie A side.

Reinholds is only 19 years of age and has been searching for a high profile move after a number of short term deals at lower league Italian teams.

After leaving his homeland Latvia when he moved from FC Ventspils for Latina in 2014, he then moved on to brief spells at Padova and Civitanovese before landing at Racing Roma late last year.

Back in February, Reinholds’s agent Camillo Autieri revealed that he was a good friend of Chelsea goalkeeping coach Gianluca Spinelli, and it seems Reinholds’s subsequent trial with the Blues came from that connection.

He is now poised to sign for Genoa on a three year deal, and he will then be immediately sent out on loan to Italian third division side Pisa.
