Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will only sign a new deal once he knows the salaries given to the club’s top earners, according to the Sun.

The Belgian international has two years remaining on his contract but negotiations have stalled in recent weeks, and it seems the 25 year old is the one who is dragging his heels as he waits to see what the club offers team mate Eden Hazard and potential new signing Romelu Lukaku.

Courtois reportedly earns less than £100,000 a week, and with Hazard already on £200,000 a week heading into his own contract talks, it seems his Belgian compatriot will wait until he sees what Chelsea offer his team mate.

The Sun also report that Lukaku would be offered £200,000 a week to match Hazard’s current salary, if the Blues agree a transfer fee with Everton, and it looks as though Courtois wants a new deal to put him in the same bracket as these players.
