Inter Milan have come to an agreement with Roma to sign defender Antonio Rudiger, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The German international has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the past few months but it seems that he will be remaining in Italy. New Inter manager Luciano Spalletti managed Rudiger at Roma last season and it seems as though the centre half will join up with the Italian coach once again at the Giuseppe Meazza.

The Corriere Dello Sport report that there had been a €10million gap between Roma and Inter’s valuation of the player. Inter had offered €25million while Roma were demanding €35m but it looks as though a compromise has been reached with the two clubs meeting half way at €30m (£26.4m).

Rudiger was a regular for Roma under Spalletti last season having played 35 times in all competitions for the Serie A club. He also remains an important player for German national side, having played the full 90 minutes in a friendly against Denmark on Saturday.
