Chelsea are one of a host of clubs chasing Genoa striker Pietro Pellegri, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The 16 year old made his debut for the Serie A club against Torino last season, coming on as a late substitute in the 1-0 defeat back in December. After one further brief substitute appearance against Chievo in late April, he was given his first start against Roma on the last day of the league season in late May.

He scored against the Rome club in the 3-2 defeat, leading to greater interest in the teenager. As well as Chelsea, Premier League clubs Liverpool and Manchester United have looked at the forward, while Juventus and AC Milan are also keeping a close eye on the player.

The Corriere Dello Sport believe that Inter Milan are the front runners for Pellegri’s signature at the moment, after scouting him extensively for the past year. They may however be put off by Genoa’s valuation which is reportedly €20million or nearly £18m.
