Chelsea defender Nathan Ake will seal a £20m move to Bournemouth in the “next 48 hours,” according to the Sun.
The Cherries have reportedly beaten off four other Premier League clubs in West Brom, Newcastle, West Ham and Southampton to the 22 year old’s signature, while there was also substantial interest from clubs abroad.
The Sun report that Ake will sign a five year contract to make the switch to the Vitality stadium. The Dutchman spent the first half of last season playing for Bournemouth, although it took him a while to break into manager Eddie Howe’s starting eleven.
He did not start a Premier League match until mid November, when he played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over Stoke City. In all, he played just 12 matches for the Cherries before being recalled by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte in January. It looks to have been enough though to convince the Premier League side to shell out a club record fee.
