These 2 players seriously need to be given a chance under Conte

Whilst Chelsea have a pretty small squad in comparison to some of the other sides in the Premier League, there are a number of players that have yet to really feature under Antonio Conte…

It is understandable, of course, given just how impressive Chelsea have been this year.

They currently sit atop the Premier League table, with some clear breathing room between them and 2nd place – and things, in general, are going very well for Conte.

However, to take his side to the next level, the Italian needs to ensure that he is making use of his entire squad – and that includes some of the fringe players.

There are a number of exciting and impressive players within the Chelsea squad that haven’t had enough game time, and they could offer something seriously important to Conte going forward.

With that said, these 2 players seriously need to be given a chance under Conte…

 Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the jewel in Chelsea’s academy crown – and it is time that Antonio Conte started treating him as such.

The young English midfielder has been on the cusp of the Chelsea first team for years, and he has looked ready to make the step up for a while.

He has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea, with Nathaniel Chalobah often preferred in his place, but it is time for him to claw his way back into the Italian’s plans.

When he has played, such as against Peterborough, he has looked really good – so he deserves another shot.

 Kurt Zouma

Kurt Zouma is now fit again and back from injury – which will be vitally important for Antonio Conte.

Zouma is largely still considered a young player, but the truth is – he was a key part of the Blues first team prior to his long-term injury lay-off.

Antonio Conte has been slow to reintroduce him, with good reason, but now is the time for him to become a starter once again.

The Frenchman is one of Europe’s most talented young central defenders, and he needs to be playing regularly.
