These 2 Chelsea players seriously struggled against Hull City – agreed?

Chelsea picked up another 3 points at the weekend, but it wasn’t all good news for Antonio Conte…

For the most part, Chelsea were pretty impressive. A decent goal in the first half from Diego Costa, and a late second from Gary Cahill were enough to seal the points – as Chelsea solidified their position at the top of the Premier League table even further.

However, whilst Chelsea as a collective performed fairly well, there were, undoubtedly, a couple of stragglers.

Whilst the Blues have been characteristically impressive as a whole this season, a couple of Chelsea’s often impressive players seriously struggled against the Tigers – and Antonio Conte will need to ensure that their form doesn’t suffer any further. He’ll want to identify those who performed badly, and ensure that their form improves against Liverpool next week.

With that said, these 2 Chelsea players seriously struggled against Hull City – agreed?

 N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante has been stellar this season, and he has so often been at the heart of everything that Chelsea have done.

He regularly serves as a shield for the Chelsea defence, and that has been key en route to Chelsea’s impressive, continual defensive form this season.

However, against Hull – he just wasn’t at the races. Defensively he looked poor, and if Hull were a more threatening side – it could have cost the Blues.

What’s more, his offensive play – notably his passing – was poor, with the Frenchman often losing possession in the middle of the park.

Every player is allowed a bad game, and Kante is no different. He has been consistent this year, so Conte won’t be too worried.

 Eden Hazard

One slightly more concerning case is that of Eden Hazard.

The Belgian has struggled over the last few weeks, which is particularly significant when you consider that both Willian and Pedro have continually impressed.

Against Hull, he failed to offer much of a threat going forward, whilst he also failed to do anything of note defensively.

Hazard has had a better season this year than he had last year, but he cannot let it slip. A Premier League title is beckoning for the Blues, and Hazard must ensure that he helps the cause going forward.
