Next up in the Premier League for Antonio Conte is a game that Chelsea fans will be demanding a win from…

Chelsea and Liverpool have built up a rivalry built upon success over the last few years, with tense games both domestically and continentally often proving vital in the context of each other’s season.

Harping back to Luis Garcia’s ghost goal or Steven Gerrard’s famous slip – games between Chelsea and Liverpool almost always bring out a bit of controversy.

The sides clash once again on Tuesday, and this game carries more significance than most. Chelsea are, at present, running away with the Premier League title, and a win against the Reds could put them one step closer – whilst defeat could blow the whole race wide open again once more.

Chelsea have a fully fit squad to contend with, though you can imagine that Antonio Conte will opt for a fairly recognisable starting eleven.

With that said, this is the 3-4-3 XI that Antonio Conte should be picking on Tuesday night…

GK – Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois got a well-earned rest at the weekend, with Begovic taking up the mantle in the FA Cup.

Expect the Belgian to come back into the fold, though – and he’ll need to be on form.

CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

Cesar Azpilicueta has played pretty consistently this season, and you can expect him to keep his place once more.

He always delivers a good performance.

CB – David Luiz

David Luiz has been one of the standout performers this season, and looks to have bounced back well from a poor display at Tottenham.

Still waiting for his first goal.

CB – Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill is the Chelsea captain in the absence of John Terry, and he has been excellent all season long.

The leader of this team.

LWB – Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso got a rest at the weekend after playing nearly every game for much of the campaign.

He has really developed over the last few weeks.

DM – Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic will add a defensive edge to this team, and will take the place of Cesc Fabregas.

The Serbian is always the go-to figure in the heart of the midfield.

DM – N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante had a poor game against Hull City, and will want to bounce back.

Liverpool are very threatening going forward, so he will need to be on his game.

RWB – Victor Moses

Victor Moses has been the standout performer this season.

The perfect right wing-back, Moses has really made the position his own this season.

LW – Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has blown hot and cold this season, and Antonio Conte will surely be hoping that he blows hot on Tuesday night.

He needs to start producing top performances more regularly.

 ST – Diego Costa

Diego Costa has scored in most of the games he has played this season, and he will need to put in a good show on Tuesday.

Chelsea fans will demand it.

 RW – Willian

Willian hasn’t been a regular starter this season, but against Liverpool’s pace going forward – he simply must play.

He is far more defensively minded than Pedro, and that will be vital.

The Spaniard has done well, and if the Blues fall behind he should definitely come on – but Willian should get a go from the start.

An excellent free-kick at the weekend will have done wonders for his confidence.
