The FA Cup comes back to Stamford Bridge this weekend…

Chelsea have quite the record in the FA Cup, with the trophy becoming part of the furniture in Chelsea’s trophy room over the last few years – with John Terry lifting the famous trophy 4 times under the ownership of Roman Abramovich.

Antonio Conte is performing fantastically in the Premier League, but he will know that the FA Cup remains of the utmost importance to Roman Abramovich and Chelsea – and he must ensure that his side has a decent run in the competition this season.

Standing in Chelsea’s way of progression this season is Brentford, who will be no pushovers – despite their struggles in the Championship.

Antonio Conte must ensure that he picks the right players for the job – and more importantly, he needs to make sure that a couple of players are definitely on the team sheet.

With that said, Conte simply must start these 2 Chelsea players against Brentford on Saturday…

 John Terry

John Terry had a poor game last time out, with the Englishman getting sent off, and he will surely be looking to atone for that mistake this time round.

It hasn’t been a very good season for the Chelsea captain, and with it likely being his last in a Blue shirt – he will want to ensure a decent FA Cup run is his final send off.

He is, typically, perfect for these types of games – and with Gary Cahill deserving of a rest, Terry should definitely come in.

He will help to marshal the defence.

 Willian

Whilst Chelsea should comfortably beat Brentford, Antonio Conte can’t afford to take the game lightly.

The FA Cup is always full of surprises, and Conte must, as a result, pick a few of his big guns – and Willian must be involved.

He has become more of a bit-part player this season, with Conte often preferring Pedro to the Brazilian so far this season, but a good performance this weekend could change that.

He was Chelsea’s Player of the Year last season, and he has looked good in recent weeks. He could be a couple of goals and a decent performance away from a start against Liverpool next week.
