The festive schedule might be over, but the games are still coming thick and fast for Antonio Conte’s Chelsea…

After a defeat against Tottenham a couple of weeks ago, Chelsea returned to form against reigning Premier League champions Leicester City last weekend – and Conte will surely be looking for his side to embark on yet another winning run.

Standing in their way is Hull City, who look to have turned their season around – at least in the short term – under new boss Marco Silva, and Conte will surely have a tough test on his hands.

With regards to team news, there are still some serious question marks over the availability of Diego Costa, who has been linked with a move away and has also been suffering from a back injury. John Terry is back in the fold after serving a 1 game suspension, which will give Antonio Conte a welcome boost at the back.

The Italian also has a fully fit squad to choose from, with no injuries – other than Diego Costa’s – currently halting the Blues’ momentum.

A fairly similar team will likely be selected by Conte, though you can’t rule out a few surprises.

With that said, this is the 3-4-3 XI that Conte should pick for Chelsea to beat Hull City…

GK – Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois is Conte’s first choice goalkeeper, and he is a guaranteed starter.

He has looked very good lately, and needs to keep his fine form up.

CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

Cesar Azpilicueta impresses whenever he plays, and you can expect a good performance against Hull City.

He has been consistent all season.

CB – David Luiz

David Luiz has looked shaky at points this season, and needs to ensure that his form remains as good as it can be.

Another mistake could force a spell on the sidelines.

CB – Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill is the Chelsea captain, and he has impressed this season.

He has been quick to bounce back from poor performances in the past, and that has been vital this year.

His leadership will be vital.

LWB – Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso is Conte’s preferred figure on the left-hand side of the Chelsea defence, with the Spaniard offering a significant threat down that side of the pitch.

He needs to work well defensively, too.

DM – N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante will always play when fit, and he has looked great in recent weeks.

He is getting better and better.

DM – Cesc Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic will be battling it out for this spot, and Fabregas is the player that should take the cake.

He has looked excellent when played this year, and Chelsea need that creative spark from the midfield.

RWB – Victor Moses

Victor Moses has arguably been Chelsea’s player of the year this season.

He has found a new lease on life at Stamford Bridge, and he deserves all of his success.

LW – Pedro

Pedro has been stellar all season, and does not deserve to be dropped.

He has scored regularly, and he needs to continue in that vein.

CF – Eden Hazard

Diego Costa’s fitness and future is still uncertain, and he does not deserve a start.

Eden Hazard has been fantastic as a false 9 this season, and should continue his role as a centre-forward.

RW – Willian

Willian and Pedro have been deadly this year, and Conte shouldn’t need to pick between them.

They both deserve to start, with Willian’s non-stop running absoloutely vital for Chelsea.
