After weeks of speculation, the news that we were all expecting has been confirmed: Brazilian midfielder Oscar has officially left Chelsea…

The 25-year-old left London in favour of a move to Shangai, where he will join up with Shanghai SIPG – managed by ex-Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The Brazilian joined Chelsea in 2012 and went on build quite the legacy, picking up the highly coveted Premier League trophy along the way – though many would argue that he never hit the heights that were expected of him when he joined.

However, now with the deal confirmed, Antonio Conte must surely already be thinking about the future – and more specifically, who could replace the departing midfielder.

His initial thought will likely be to look externally, but perhaps he should look a little closer to home, and in particular – he should look towards Chelsea’s near-40 strong loan army. The group is filled with exciting young talent – and Conte must utilise it.

With that said, these 2 on-loan Chelsea players should be recalled to replace Oscar…

 Lewis Baker

Lewis Baker has been around for years now, and in truth – he should have returned to Chelsea a year or 2 ago.

In many ways, the young Englishman is just like Oscar: he is quick, technical, skilful and he loves to score the odd incredible goal.

From set pieces, Baker is a marvel – and he would be right at home alongside the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian.

It’s now or never for young Baker.

 Charly Musonda

Charly Musonda has already been recalled, in theory, from his loan spell at Real Betis – owing to his lack of game time – but the expectation is that he will likely move away from the club on loan once again once the end of his tenure with Betis is finally confirmed.

However, the young Belgian has all it takes to succeed at the highest level – and given that he is arguably one of the most talented players within the Chelsea youth system – it would make sense to give him a chance in the first team.

He is quick, technical and is decent from a set piece. He is inexperienced and raw – but those qualities will only come by playing in the first team.
