Chelsea’s clash against Hull City this weekend is going to be a very interesting one for a number of reasons…

On a basic level, Chelsea will be looking to win yet another game and continue their impressive run at the top of the Premier League.

Of course, all eyes will be on the Blues – with Antonio Conte’s side now needing to slip up to offer their Premier League rivals any chance of catching them at the top of the table.

Beyond that, though, there are a host of topics that are worth discussing. Of course, the Diego Costa situation will continue to interest onlookers – whilst there are also a couple of other Chelsea players that will be worth keeping an eye on throughout the game.

It is sure to be an interesting clash, but it isn’t just the result that we’re interested in.

With that said, here are 3 things to look out for as Chelsea take on Hull City on Sunday…

 Striking Situation

Chelsea’s striking situation is quickly becoming a very interesting topic of discussion.

The Diego Costa-saga has been well discussed over the last week, and the issue certainly doesn’t need to be revisited with even further talk.

Alongside that, you have the fact that Michy Batshuayi seemingly isn’t being trusted by Antonio Conte, as well as the emergence of the ‘false 9’ at the tip of Chelsea’s attack.

The Blues front line is going to be a very interesting thing to look out for, because Antonio Conte has so many choices. He could throw Costa right back into the fold, he could risk Batshuayi – or he could opt for more of the same and put Eden Hazard in.

What do you think he will do?

 David Luiz

David Luiz has looked shaky over the last few weeks, and it’ll definitely be worth keeping an eye on him against Hull City.

He was at fault for both of Chelsea’s conceded goals against Tottenham, and a decent run of impressive performances is definitely needed from the Brazilian.

He has done well since he rejoined the club, but the question marks are slowly starting to appear once again. Luiz needs to ward them off.

 Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois is reportedly ready for a move back to Spain – and the news has come at a very interesting time.

It is the busiest time of year for the Blues, especially with fixtures piling up, and it will be interesting to look at Courtois during the game and work out if we can take anything from that.

He could put in a poor performance or it could not affect him at all – but with speculation firmly in the air, Courtois is going to become a very significant figure over the coming weeks.
