Leicester won the Premier League last season, of course, and whilst they have looked poor this season – the game was never going to be easy for Chelsea. To make matter worse, a crushing 2-0 defeat against Tottenham a couple of weeks ago had ended Chelsea’s unbeaten streak – and that had left many questioning whether Conte’s side were about to head on a downwards spiral.
Chelsea were expected to beat Leicester City, of course, but how the Blues would perform was certainly unknown – so all eyes were on Antonio Conte’s side.
What followed was what Chelsea fans have seen all season long – with a confident 3-0 victory drawing parallels with Chelsea’s impressive displays before the Tottenham defeat.
Goals from Pedro and Marcos Alonso were enough to seal the points for Antonio Conte’s side – surely leaving the Italian boss feeling very good about the rest of the season. He will undoubtedly have taken a few bits of key information from the game, too.
