The games don’t stop for Antonio Conte – and this one is more important than any other…

The Blues are comfortably topping the Premier League at present, with yet another win at the weekend against Stoke proving that their fine run of form is no stroke of luck.

The game against the Potters was, arguably, one of the toughest yet, though, with the Mark Hughes-led side proving to be a really tough opponent for Antonio Conte’s men.

Nonetheless, as they so often have this season, it was Chelsea that came out on top – with a couple of goals from Willian and fine finishes from Cahill and Diego Costa enough to seal the points.

Thoughts at Cobham must quickly turn to the next game, though, and they don’t come much bigger than a clash against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. The 2 sides have built up quite the rivalry this season, and Conte will want to ensure that he leads Chelsea to another win against one of England’s best sides.

Crucially, though, he needs to ensure that he picks the right players for the job – and he has some BIG selection dilemmas on his hands…

With that said, this is the 3-4-3 Chelsea XI that Conte should pick to ensure victory against Tottenham…

GK – Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois had a fair bit to do against Stoke City last weekend, and the tough tests will no doubt continue against Tottenham.

Harry Kane will be keen to make an impact, so the Belgian needs to be aware.

CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

Cesar Azpilicueta has continued to impress this season, and he looks to be getting better and better as time goes on.

Harry Kane will be his main problem on the night, though, and he needs to ensure that he keeps tight to the Englishman.

CB – Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill always turns up against Tottenham, and a good performance will be needed.

CB – David Luiz

David Luiz is carrying an injury, and could be considered a doubt – though you would imagine that the Brazilian will play.

He’ll need to be in top form, though – so bringing in Zouma or Terry might make sense if he isn’t fully fit.

LWB – Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso has looked shaky against some of the Premier League’s best teams this season, and he will want to avoid being exposed against Tottenham.

DM – N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante has been excellent this season, and you would imagine that Conte will have him focusing on defending as he looks to control the threatening Tottenham offense.

If any man can control Kane, it is Kante.

DM – Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic is likely to be drafted back into the fold against Tottenham in favour of the more attacking Cesc Fabregas, and it is easy to see why.

He will help control Tottenham defensively, whilst also aiding the cause going forward.

RWB – Victor Moses

Victor Moses has been fantastic this season, and his performance against Stoke was possibly his best yet.

He defends, he attacks – he is great.

LW – Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard needs to start transforming good performances into great performances – and a goal against Tottenham would be a great way to start.

He needs a big performance.

ST – Diego Costa

Another goal at the weekend proved that a week on the sidelines did little to harm his confidence, and a repeat performance against Tottenham will endear him to the Chelsea faithful.

He needs to keep his cool, though.

RW – Willian

Willian or Pedro – the toughest decision for Conte.

Willian takes the cake purely based off of his impressive performance against Stoke City and his stellar defensive work rate – though both would do a stellar job.
