With victory at Brentford still fresh in the memory, the Blues have today completed another transfer deal…

Though Chelsea have been linked with a number of players over the last few weeks, it is another departing player that is making the news today.

As confirmed on Chelsea’s official website, talented midfielder Mukhtar Ali has joined Vitesse Arnhem on loan until the end of the season.

This is Ali’s first loan spell away from the club since joining the club at under-11 level.

Able to play in the defence or midfield, Ali is an impressive 19-year-old midfielder that has performed fantastically over the last few years, having steadily developed and progressed through the Blues’ developmental ranks.

He becomes the latest in a long line to make the switch to Vitesse, with Chelsea and the Dutch side building somewhat of a partnership over the last few years. He will join the likes of Lewis Baker, Nathan and Matt Miazga – all 3 of whom are already at the club.

A regular at youth level, Ali has won Uefa Youth League and FA Youth Cup in recent years. Clearly a very highly rated midfielder, Ali has been a vital cog in the developmental machine over the years, as signalled by his impressive trophy haul.

Is Ali good enough to make it, Blues?
