It was going to take a big performance from Chelsea to bounce back from defeat at Tottenham a couple of weeks ago…

The Blues were outplayed against the Lilywhites, and in truth – we were genuinely concerned that Antonio Conte’s side could be about to embark on a downwards spiral.

However, against reigning Premier League champions Leicester City – there was no sign of disappointment. Chelsea were on fine form, as they have been all season – quickly dispatching the Foxes with relatively little effort.

A couple of goals from man of the match Marcos Alonso and a tidy headed goal from Pedro in the closing stages sealed the points for the Blues – leaving Antonio Conte’s side comfortably at the top of the Premier League.

The games are coming thick and fast, and every game is important – but this win was particularly vital. The Blues needed to bounce back from a difficult few weeks – and they did so in style.

Unsurprisingly, the Chelsea fans on Twitter erupted upon the final whistle – with many praising the fine performances from the players that Antonio Conte selected.
