With their Christmas dinners still fresh in the memory, there will be no hangovers for the Chelsea boys on Boxing Day….

As with every year in the Premier League, the world may stop during the festive end of the year period – but football certainly does not.

In fact, this year has been busier than ever – with games coming thick and fast for Antonio Conte in his debut campaign in England.

He has been doing well, too, with the Blues flying high at the top of the table – with a game against Bournemouth next in line.

Whilst Chelsea will undoubtedly be favourites, Antonio Conte must ensure that he picks the right side to get the job done; and with both Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante unavailable – he will have a tough task on his hands.

There are a few players that he simply must pick, though, or he could risk losing the game.

With that said, Conte simply must start these 2 Chelsea players against Bournemouth – agreed?

Nathaniel Chalobah

N’Golo Kante is suspended against Bournemouth, and in truth – there is only one man that can come in.

Nathaniel Chalobah has, undoubtedly, been chomping at the bit to get a chance in the Chelsea first team this season – and the game against Bournemouth offers Conte the perfect chance to give the young Englishman a starting berth.

He is similar to Kante in that he is a defensive player, so a midfielder like Fabregas is less suited to the role – and whenever Chalobah has played lately he has impressed.

If he can’t play against Bournemouth, when WILL he get a chance?

Michy Batshuayi

Diego Costa is another player that is suspended – and Michy Batshuayi simply must come in.

It would be the most Chelsea thing ever to bring in a player like Cesc Fabregas and play him as a false 9 – but Conte must be wise and pick the young Belgian.

He hasn’t played enough this season, and starting him is the only real option. Conte has made the right call on every decision so far this season – he must continue in that vein.
