Conte has some big decisions ahead of him against Man City on Saturday…

In what will undoubtedly be the Italian’s toughest test yet, Saturday afternoon sees the Blues head to the Etihad – in what some are describing as the first title decider of the season.

Whilst that is a touch premature, there is no doubting the gravity of this fixture – and in the context of the season so far; whoever wins this game will certainly be putting down a marker for the season ahead.

Antonio Conte has impressed in the Premier League, but so has Guardiola – and this will undoubtedly be a test of the minds of two of the Premier League’s best new managers.

Conte will have to ensure that he makes the right decisions – and that process begins with his team selection.

There will undoubtedly be a few players that are turning heads on the training ground and calling for a start – but Conte must resist and keep to what he knows.

With that said, Conte simply must not start these 2 Chelsea players against Man City – agreed?

 Cesc Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas has been really unlucky this season – but his luck really shouldn’t change against Man City.

The Spanish midfielder deserves to start, he really does – but Man City is not the game for him.

He lacks the defensive discipline and mobility required in the heart of the midfield – and the duo of Matic and Kante have been fantastic in recent weeks.

He could feature as a substitute if Chelsea need a goal – but he should not be given a starting berth.

Oscar

Oscar has not played much this season – and there is a reason for that.

The Brazilian midfielder simply hasn’t been up to par as of late, and in truth – it appears as though he is heading towards the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Brazilian has often been a player that managers turn to in big games, with his work-rate and tireless running often considered to be of real benefit in tight engagements.

However, Oscar really doesn’t fit the Chelsea system – and his introduction would force a player out of the side when in reality they probably deserve to start.

Keep to what you know, Antonio.
