Antonio Conte has some tough decisions ahead of this weekend’s clash against Crystal Palace…

A mid-week clash against Sunderland went as expected, with the Blues picking up a fairly comfortable win – but Antonio Conte will have no time to rest upon his laurels.

The Premier League is a difficult league to manage over the festive period, with games coming thick and fast right through until the new year.

Next up for the Blues is a tough game against Crystal Palace, with Antonio Conte looking to compound Alan Pardew’s relegation battle by taking another 3 points off of the English boss.

The game will not be an easy one, though, and Conte must ensure that he picks the right players for the job.

With that said, Conte simply must not start these 2 Chelsea players against Crystal Palace – agreed?

 Pedro

Pedro has been performing fantastically for Chelsea over the last few months, but it is time for Antonio Conte to make a change.

He has looked a little bit lazy in recent weeks, with the Spaniard struggling to put away chances and proving inconsistent in the attack.

All the while, Brazilian winger Willian is waiting in the wings – and he has looked excellent when given a chance.

Crystal Palace will likely look to sit back and defend, and there are few better players in the Premier League at breaking through tough defences than Willian.

Pedro should come back into the side in a few weeks, but a couple of games watching from the sidelines will surely help the Spaniard in the long-run.

 Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic was dropped in mid-week against Sunderland, and this is a feat that should be repeated on Saturday.

Crystal Palace likely won’t pose much of a threat for the Blues defensively, and as a result – Matic’s defensive qualities aren’t really necessary.

The midfielder isn’t very strong going forward, and that is what the Blues will need on Saturday. A player like Cesc Fabregas would be far better suited.
