On Monday night, Bournemouth come to Stamford Bridge…

Chelsea are leading the chase for the Premier League title this season, and the Blues are quickly emerging as the favourites after a fantastic run in the Premier League.

However, whilst Chelsea are going into every game as favourites as of late – Antonio Conte must not take the challenge of Bournemouth lightly.

The South Coast-based side have been impressive this season, with Eddie Howe impressing as the Cherries’ boss.

Antonio Conte must ensure that his team selection is absolutely perfect – and more specifically, he must ensure that a couple of disappointing players are relegated to the bench.

With the January transfer window fast approaching and the festive period showing no signs of slowing down – Conte must utilise his squad well.

With that said, Conte simply must not start these 2 Chelsea players against Bournemouth – agreed?

Pedro

Pedro has been impressive this season, but the time has come for him to have a spell on the sidelines.

He has looked worse for wear in recent weeks, whilst Willian has quickly emerged as an exciting option for Antonio Conte.

Long-term, Pedro will undoubtedly be the first choice for Conte, but with Willian chomping at the bit to get a chance – it makes sense to make a change.

What’s more, Pedro is close to a suspension for the number of yellow cards he has collected – which is something that Conte will undoubtedly be aware of.

Save him for more important fixtures, Antonio.

Oscar

Oscar’s time at Chelsea looks over – and at this point, giving him game time would serve little purpose for Chelsea.

Not only would it run the risk of injury for the Brazilian if he plays, in place of a player like Kante, for example, but he would also be taking away the opportunity of a rising star like Nathaniel Chalobah.

Oscar has been a fantastic Chelsea servant, but his impending deal means that he needs to be kept away from the Blues’ first team going forward. Give Chalobah a chance.
