So far this season, Antonio Conte has done everything right…

He started the season fantastically, and bar a couple of bad weeks early on – the Blues have been untouchable so far this season.

Currently riding high at the top of the Premier League, it would appear as though nobody can catch Antonio Conte’s men – but the Italian must not get complacent.

As has so often been the case in the past, anyone can beat anyone in the Premier League, and next up for Chelsea is a game against Stoke City – a team that has often frustrated their opponents, including Chelsea, in recent years.

The Blues are close to closing the book on 2016, and Conte will undoubtedly want to finish the season on a high – but there are a number of things that he must do to ensure that happens.

With that said, here are 3 things Conte absolutely must do for Chelsea to beat Stoke City on Saturday…

 Record

Antonio Conte and his players have been quick to downplay the significance of the winning record they are currently embarking on, but now might be the time to place some focus upon it in and around the Chelsea dressing room.

The Blues are within touching distance of the 14 successive wins necessary to take the top spot, and that could be just what the Chelsea players need to push them over the edge.

Chelsea could have been accused in recent years of becoming complacent at the top – and Conte must not allow that to happen.

If the players are constantly reminded of the importance of beating that record – they will surely go all the way and beat Stoke.

 Attack, Attack, Attack

Antonio Conte has made a name for himself in the Premier League as an attacking manager, and he must continue in that vein against the Potters.

Chelsea have been scoring for fun in recent weeks, and against Stoke City – they must ramp up the pressure.

Diego Costa will likely be back in the team, and the Blues need to ensure that they don’t settle for a draw or a small victory. Conte must go all out and attack.

If not, the Blues could return to previous form and start conceding last minute equalisers as they so often did under Mourinho.

 Diego Costa

In that vein, Diego Costa simply must start.

He missed the game against Bournemouth last weekend through suspension, and whilst Conte will undoubtedly be looking forward to Tottenham with 1 eye – he must focus on the present.

Stoke City are a team that are very beatable, and with Costa in the side – they will undoubtedly succumb to the Blues’ powerful attack, as many other sides have done in recent weeks.

The game against Stoke is as important as any other, and Conte must focus on what is ahead of him, rather than what is happening next week.
