Chelsea have enjoyed a turnaround in form this season; but some players are still not pulling their weight…

January is fast approaching, and Antonio Conte is surely already looking towards the new year as the perfect time to upgrade his squad.

Of course, much of the focus thus far has been placed upon potential players that may come to Stamford Bridge. With Chelsea’s defence and midfield lacking, Conte will no doubt look to improve those problem areas – but what of the players that are already in his squad?

There are several Chelsea players that either aren’t playing, or simply are not good enough to play for the Blues – and as a result, they could well find themselves thrust out of the club in January.

With that said, these 2 Chelsea players could definitely leave the club in January – agreed?

 Ruben Loftus-Cheek

This move should definitely be a loan deal – but it needs to happen immediately.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek was Mourinho’s man tasked with breaking into the Chelsea first team, but in truth – has he ever looked ready?

The young Englishman hasn’t really made much of an impact in the Premier League, and whilst players younger than him like Marcus Rashford are dominating games – Loftus-Cheek can hardly get a look in.

Under Conte he hasn’t been given a chance at all – and a loan deal would definitely make sense to give him a chance at the highest level.

 Cesc Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas isn’t getting a game under Antonio Conte – and at this point, a departure looks inevitable.

He has been injured in recent weeks, but Chelsea’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation leaves very little room for Fabregas to fit into the Blues first team.

He is not defensive enough to play in central midfield, nor does he have enough mobility to play further up the pitch.

There is simply no room for him – and a departure appears to be the next course of action for the Spaniard.
