We’re just past the quarter-way mark in the Premier League this season – and it’s time to look back on how the Blues have done so far..

All things considered, the Blues have made a good start to the season.

A decent opening few weeks was marred by a couple of big-game losses – but Chelsea’s return to form after the fact has been incredible.

They look unstoppable at this point, but things aren’t quite perfect for Antonio Conte.

He has undoubtedly made some mistakes, and the Blues have certainly done a few things wrong this season.

With that said, here are 3 things that Chelsea have done wrong this season

Slow Start

This one is slightly unfair, given that Chelsea actually had a really good start to the season all things considered – but losses to Arsenal and Liverpool certainly stand out as big marks on Conte’s record.

Chelsea have often impressed in big game fixtures, but these 2 results seemingly proved that Conte had to change something.

The Blues have bounced back well, but until Conte gets an opportunity to get a win back on his adversaries – this one will be a blotch on his record.

Lack of Rotation

Can you tell that we’re struggling to find things that the Blues have done wrong this season?

Chelsea, in recent weeks, have done really well – but their fine form has been achieved by the exact same 11 players. Conte has his set first team, and thus far he has failed to utilise the rest of his stars correctly.

This has given players like Batshuayi, Mikel, Fabregas and Chalobah bit-part roles; and that isn’t good enough.

They’re all great players, and can do a job for Conte. He needs to utilise his entire squad, though that can be difficult considering how well his first team are playing.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

This one is a bit surprising.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the jewel in the crown of the Chelsea academy, but under Antonio Conte he has largely faded into the background.

It would seem that the Italian rates Chalobah more highly than him – which is fine: but Loftus-Cheek certainly has the talent to play a role.

Conte must change this going forward, or he could risk stalling Loftus-Cheek’s career.
