Antonio Conte’s Chelsea revolution is finally beginning to take hold…

The Italian boss came to London over the summer, and after a few mixed results early on in the season – his message finally appears to be getting across to his players.

The players at his disposal are finally beginning to impress and Conte’s new 3-4-3 formation appears to be working wonders.

However, there is only so much that he can do with an inherited squad; and it would appear inevitable that the Italian forays into the transfer market in January – with several players likely on his shortlist.

Conte has previously shown a reliance on Italian stars at previous clubs, and you would expect that to continue during his spell with Chelsea. In truth, Italy has become a hub of under-the-radar talent in recent years; and they are building quite the crop of impressive midfield players.

With Andrea Pirlo entering the final stages of his career, Italy are looking for a new midfield star to take over the reigns – and these 2 would certainly fit the bill for Conte.

With that said, Conte simply must sign these 2 Italian midfielders – agreed?

 Marco Verratti

Marco Verratti is, undoubtedly, one of Europe’s finest young players – and he is one of Italy’s best.

A dominating, technical deep-lying playmaker; Verratti would be the perfect player to replace a likely-departing Cesc Fabregas; and the Italian offers so much more than his Spanish counterpart.

Verratti is far more mobile than Fabregas, and that is the main factor that puts Conte off the veteran Spaniard.

What’s more, at just 24-years-old, Verratti would be a long-term central midfield solution for Conte.

 Lorenzo Insigne

If Antonio Conte is looking for a bit more attacking firepower – look no further than Lorenzo Insigne.

Insigne is a winger that is able to play across the attack, and whilst he is more natural on the left-hand side –  he could still do a job on the opposite flank.

He offers technical brilliance and electric pace, whilst also posing a significant goal threat and possessing the skills to be a Premier League pass master.

The Italian won’t be an easy signing – but he would be worth every penny.
