Another game, another win for the Blues…

Not even Middlesbrough could stand in the way of Chelsea’s charge to the top.

The Boro proved to be a very tough test for Chelsea, and in truth – they offered far more of a threat than some of the Blues’ more high-profile opposition in recent weeks.

A narrow 1-0 win was the end result, with Diego Costa popping up once again with a decisive winner for Antonio Conte’s men.

The Italian boss can certainly take a lot away from the game – and he will undoubtedly reflect on the game positively.

With that said, here are 3 things that Conte learned from Chelsea’s demolition of Middlesbrough

Top of the League

It’s been a very long time since we’ve been able to say this…CHELSEA ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!

After the embarrassment of last season, Chelsea have risen back to the top in incredible fashion – and they deserve every bit of their success.

Beating Middlesbrough was just another step in Antonio Conte’s Chelsea revolution – and it could prove to be an absolutely crucial one.

If nothing else, it proved that the title challenge is on – and currently; Chelsea are leading the pack.

 Pedro

How good was Pedro once again?!

We’ve been quick to criticise the Spaniard in the past, but you’ve got to hand it to him – he has been absolutely incredible in recent weeks.

He has finally added consistency to his game – and at present, he could well be Chelsea’s most important player.

What a performance. He deserved a goal.

 The Mark of Champions

Chelsea were not perfect yesterday, but they managed to grind out the win – and that is the mark of a champion.

Too many times under Mourinho would Chelsea dominate until the 85th minute – only to concede in the last minutes and draw or lose the game.

There doesn’t appear to be any sign of that under Conte – and the game looked very comfortable throughout.

A fantastic performance. A trophy-winning performance.
