3-4-3: This Chelsea XI will comfortably beat Middlesbrough on Saturday

With the international break coming to a close, it’s time to start looking ahead of Chelsea’s crunch clash with Middlesbrough…

The Blues have been in fine form so far this season, and in truth – the international break came at the wrong time for Antonio Conte’s team.

After a win, most teams would rather keep their momentum going, but the Blues have been interrupted by a 2-week break. Nonetheless, Antonio Conte and his men will be expected to come away from the Riverside with all 3 points.

Middlesbrough themselves have been in good form this season, and Antonio Conte will have to ensure that his team selection is absolutely perfect – or he could risk losing the game.

Expect the same formation with 1 or 2 new faces as Conte looks to freshen up his side.

With that said, this Chelsea 3-4-3 XI will definitely beat Middlesbrough on Saturday

 GK – Thibaut Courtois

Courtois is Chelsea’s number 1 – and that will continue against Middlesbrough.

Expect a good performance.

 CB – Cesar Azpilicueta

Mr. Consistant.

Nothing ever gets past the man affectionally known as ‘Dave’.

 CB – David Luiz

David Luiz has been in fine form since his return.

Expect another good performance as he looks to keep John Terry out of the team.

 CB – Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill has bounced back well from a tough start to the season.

A goal last week for England will boost his confidence.

 LWB – Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso has been one of Chelsea’s standout performers this season.

Expect that to continue.

 CM – N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante has really found his form in recent weeks, and will be key on Sunday.

Expect another great performance.

 CM – Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic, like Kante, has looked really good over the last few weeks.

With last season’s poor form behind him hopefully he can start to kick on and improve even more.

 RWB – Victor Moses

Victor Moses is the surprise package in this Chelsea team, and simply must start.

Possibly Chelsea’s best player so far this season.

 LW – Eden Hazard

Back on the scoresheet and back to his best.

Eden Hazard is the focal point of the Chelsea attack and will no doubt put in another great showing.

 ST – Diego Costa

Goals, goals and more goals.

Diego Costa has been on fire so far this season, and you would expect that to continue against Middlesbrough.

 RW – Willian

Harsh to drop Pedro, but Willian deserves a chance to get back into the side.

When he plays well – he is undroppable.
