The January transfer window is fast approaching…

January has been a notoriously mixed month over the past few years for Chelsea, with the Blues often forced into what can only be described as ‘panic buys’.

Players like Juan Cuadrado and Fernando Torres have come and gone, and whilst both achieved success with the Blues – their tenures cannot be described as anything less than abject failures.

Nonetheless, this January appears different for Chelsea. There is not any gaping holes in the first team, and any moves will likely be well thought out and decided upon well in advance.

One area that Conte should really look to improve is the Chelsea defence, and in particular – he should look towards Brazilian defenders.

Brazil as a nation are renowned for producing some of the world’s best players, and in recent years there have been a number of defenders that have come through the system.

With that said, Conte simply must sign these 2 Brazilian defenders in January – agreed?

 Alex Sandro

There is an argument to be had that suggests that Chelsea are too reliant upon Marcos Alonso.

Of course, the Spaniard has come into the Chelsea first team and has impressed so far this campaign – having made left-back spot his own.

However, the Blues could struggle if he gets injured – and that could prove a real issue for Conte going forward

This is where Alex Sandro comes in.

Sandro is currently playing for Juventus, and has been really impressing as of late.

Adept both defensively and offensively, he truly is the complete package – and would work perfectly as a wing-back.

Conte could look towards his old club for a little favour.

 Fabinho

It is a very similar story on the right-hand side, with Victor Moses really Chelsea’s only legitimate option with regards to right wing-backs.

Fabinho could be a great option, not least because of his versatility.

Able to play defensively, offensively, or even as a central midfielder – Fabinho could prove a jack of all trades for Antonio Conte.

This would plug a hole in midfield too, with Kante and Matic bearing much of the load so far.

This deal makes sense on so many levels.
