Conte simply must give a chance to these 3 Chelsea players this season – agreed?

Antonio Conte has managed his squad very effectively since his arrival at Stamford Bridge in the summer…

In contrast to his predecessor Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte tends to change his first team around on a near-weekly basis – and this has given opportunities to players that might not have otherwise got any.

However, some players have, thus far, slipped through the cracks – and given the size of Conte’s squad; they have largely been forgotten amongst more high profile names.

If Conte wants to succeed this season, he needs to ensure that he uses the entirety of his squad, and in particular – he needs to utilise a few players that can directly aid him in achieving his goals this year.

With that said, Conte simply must give a chance to these 3 Chelsea players this season – agreed?

 Nathaniel Chalobah

Nathaniel Chalobah has been in and around the Chelsea first team for a while – but Antonio Conte has seen fit to keep him as part of the match day squad in recent weeks.

This is all well and good – provided that he actually gets game time.

If he isn’t going to play each week, he would be much better served by going out on loan – and Antonio Conte must utilise him this season.

 John Obi Mikel

John Obi Mikel hasn’t had much of a look-in yet, but much of that has been down to circumstance.

He looked good in pre-season, but had to leave early in order to represent his country at the 2016 Olympics – and he hasn’t really been considered since.

He is now likely ready for first team action, and Conte should give an opportunity before simply writing him off.

Mikel became a key part of Hiddink’s regime last season, and Conte would be wise to place a similar level of significance on him this year.

 Ruben Loftus-Cheek

This might seem like a bit of an obvious one, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek simply hasn’t had much of a chance under Antonio Conte so far.

Despite breaking into the first-team under Jose Mourinho, Loftus-Cheek has had to take somewhat of a backseat as of late – and that can only be hurting his development.

He looked good when given a chance last season, and it would be disappointing to see him join the list of forgotten Chelsea youngsters.

Cup games could offer Conte a great opportunity to get a look at the young English midfielder.
