The Nigerian is a key reason as to why the 3-4-3 formation switch has worked so well so far, and without him – the Blues risk regressing on all the progress that they have made.

He is the perfect wing-back. He is offensively threatening whilst also retaining defensive stability – and he can do it like nobody else in the Chelsea first team.

He is keeping Ivanovic out of the Chelsea first team for good reason – he is simply so much better.
