A fair few of Chelsea’s loanees have been in action over the past few days…

It has been another exciting week for Chelsea fans, not least after a very impressive 3-0 victory over Premier League champions Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Away from the club, there is even more to cheer about – with a host of Chelsea loanees putting in a batch of brilliant performances – as we have become used to in recent weeks.

With 38 players currently on loan across various continents as part of Chelsea’s much-discussed loan system, it can be difficult to keep up with them all – so we’ve done that job for you.

From England to the Netherlands, from Spain to Germany – we’ve got you covered!

With that said, here are FOUR of the best weekend performances that you need to know about from Chelsea’s loan army…

 Lewis Baker

Lewis Baker has been impressing in recent weeks, and this past weekend was no different.

Baker, a 21-year-old midfielder, has proven himself as an attacking star during his 15 months in the Netherlands – and he continued his skill show against AZ Alkmaar.

This time, he popped up with an impressive free kick, which can be seen below. The Blues could do with his fantastic set pieces at Stamford Bridge this season…

How good was that?!

We have a feeling we’ll be saying something very similar this time next week…

 Bertrand Traore

Bertrand Traore has gone off-the-radar somewhat since his arrival at Ajax, but he has been slowly trotting along in a similar vein of form to that of which he displayed at Chelsea over the summer.

The Burkina Faso star has been playing slightly out of position more often than not so far this year, and that continued as Ajax came up against ADO Den Haag over the weekend.

Nevertheless, the starlet popped up with an impressive goal that marked his 3rd of the season.

Expecting many more this season, Bertrand!

 Lucas Piazon

A forgotten member of Chelsea’s loan army, Lucas Piazon was once touted as THE man in the Chelsea developmental system.

However, a few poor loans over the last few years have stalled his development – and barring a wonder season by the young Brazilian; he looks set for a Chelsea departure before too long.

You can’t fault the lad for trying, though, as he popped up with a very impressive performance over the weekend, which was capped off with a goal for Chelsea’s London rivals Fulham.

It was a very important 90 minutes for the youngster. If he can keep that form up, he could still have a look in at Chelsea next year.

 Andreas Christensen

Andreas Christensen will likely be a weekly fixture in this article, simply because he has been absolutely unstoppable so far this season.

He has grown into a great young player, and he looks set to become a star at Stamford Bridge next season.

The young Dane picked up yet another clean-sheet over the weekend, something that we think that we’ll be saying a lot this season.

Disappointingly, he also picked up an injury – though it is unclear as to how long he will be out at present.
