Amidst a sea of Chelsea loanees, Charlie Colkett has been quietly going about his business on loan with Bristol Rovers in League One…

Whilst he may not have brought the headlines of a player like Tammy Abraham, young English midfielder Charlie Colkett has been impressing as of late – having finally been given a chance to show what he can do outside of the Chelsea youth system.

He has been playing fairly regularly for the Bristol-based side, and has quickly cemented himself as a top-level talent in League One.

Not a player regularly known for his trickery on the field, Colkett is more of a deep-lying playermaker – much in the ilk of Cesc Fabregas; but we aren’t even sure that Cesc could do this…

After an incredible comeback, after being 3-1 down, Rovers went into the lead in a game against MK Dons – thanks to an audacious piece of skill in the build up by the young Englishman.

Picking the ball up on the edge of the penalty area, Colkett flicks the ball into the path of a teammate, who would go on to square it for the easy tap in.

Take a look below…

Wow. That touch! That goal was all Charlie…

Colkett is definitely a player with huge potential, but we had no idea that he had this in his locker.

Highlight reels of incredible loanee moments are quickly becoming a daily occurrence – but we aren’t complaining.

Chelsea’s future is bright!
