Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado is on the brink of completing his loan move to Juventus in the coming days according to reports in the London Evening Standard.

The director of the Italian champions, Giuseppe Marotta, is quoted as telling Italian broadcaster Mediaset (via London Evening Standard): “I hope that over the next few days we can conclude the Cuadrado deal.”

“For now he is a Chelsea player. We presented a proposal to them and are waiting for a response, but we are optimistic,” added Marotta.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is said to be keen to see Cuadrado stay at the Blues, but the player himself favours a move back to Serie A, and with Chelsea’s squad looking healthy in the wide areas, letting him go isn’t seen as too much of a problem.

Cuadrado has never really hit the heights that were expected of him at Chelsea, and his lack of playing time led to a loan move back to Italy last season.

Since he hasn’t featured in either of Chelsea’s opening two Premier League games this season, it’s not a stretch to think that another loan move could be on the cards for the pacey winger.
