Reports from French news source Le 10 Sport today report that Loic Remy is on the verge of a loan move to Crystal Palace, but that the loan will include an option to buy the player permanently afterwards.
The French international has struggled to nail down a place in the starting XI at Stamford Bridge since joining the club in 2014, and the arrival of Michy Batshuayi just adds another roadblock in his way.
He doesn’t seem to be in Antonio Conte’s plans, and a move away from the club does seem like the most likely option.
Palace, meanwhile, have already signed Christian Benteke from Liverpool and are said to have wanted to finalise that deal before tying up a deal for Remy.
The deal is also expected to include an option for the south London club to buy Remy at the end of his loan spell with the fee reported to be around €10m (about £8.5m).
