Chelsea hitman Diego Costa has moved to distance himself from the speculation linking him with a summer return to Spain.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a goal-laden first season in England following a £32m move from Atletico Madrid, netting 20 times in helping the Blues to Premier League glory.

However, speculation is rife that the Spain international is keen on a return to Atletico after Marca reported that he had struggled to adapt to life in West London.

“[It is] quite a simple answer,” he told the club’s official website.

“It’s always a bit more difficult in the first season for adaptation, but I have no reason to leave this place, I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay.”

Chelsea fans – are you happy with Diego’s pledge? Let us know below.
