Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has expressed an ambition to sign Chelsea winger Victor Moses on a permanent basis this summer.

The 24-year-old has impressed during a season-long loan spell at the Britannia Stadium, scoring four and creating five in all competitions so far.

And it seems as if the Potters are happy with his contribution, with Coates stating that he wants to sign the Nigerian ace in the off-season.

“There are some obvious things we want to do,” Coates explained to Sky Sports. “We would like to extend Asmir Begovic’s contract, Jack Butland recently signed a new deal which we’re very pleased about.

“Steven N’Zonzi is a big player for us; we would like to extend his contact. Victor Moses is an interesting situation for us and we would like to see how the land lies with that one. If we can, we would like to do a deal.”

Should Chelsea offload the winger? Let us know in the comments below.
