Roma chief Walter Sabatini has expressed his regret over passing up the chance to sign Mohamad Salah as the on-loan Chelsea winger continues to dazzle with Fiorentina.
The Egypt international starred as La Viola thumped Roma 3-0 in the Europa League tonight to progress into the quarter-finals of the competition.
Although not on the scoresheet this evening, Salah has netted six times in 10 games since joining the Italian side on loan in January.
The 22-year-old had been linked with a switch to Rome prior to joining Fiorentina, and Sabatini concedes that it was a “mistake” to pass up the chance.
“Salah? He is a player to regret. It’s another mistake that I’ve committed,” the Giallarossi’s sporting director told Sport Mediaset.

sombody comment here that sallah should come back and stop playing like hazard, now is it a crime to have two stars or dribblers playing at the same time? most times that’s what affect our style of play we only depends on eden harzard dribbles, now look at barcelona they have two dribblers in their team so anybody coming against them has to be very carefull because if mark messi strongly and leave neymar you have not done anything yet and mark neymar leave messi still the worst so we need sallah back so that we cannot depend on one dribbler(eden harzard), so anybody coming against us has to be very carefull of both stars (eden harzard and mohamed sallah).
