Atletico Madrid are reportedly weighing up a summer move for out-of-favour Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis – just seven months after selling him to the Blues.

Luis has endured a largely anonymous first season in England following his £16 million switch, starting just six Premier League games as Cesar Azpilicueta seems to be Jose Mourinho’s preferred option.

The 29-year-old is reported to have told former Atletico team-mate Miranda that he is keen on a return to the Vicente Calderon after growing frustrated in West London.

And, according to The Telegraph, the desire to reunite is mutual as the Spanish champions monitor his situation at Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Brazil international, who has won 10 caps for his country, has started 17 games in all competitions this season.

Should Mourinho keep Luis? If not, who would you like to see rival Azpilicueta for the left-back slot? Let us know below.

IFACT MOURINHO IS A CONFUSED MAN. WHY WILL U SELL THE PLAYER THAT CAN GIVE YOU ATTACKING FLAIR? I TINK IS HIGH TIME MOURINHO HAVE FAITH IN DIS PLAYERS BCOS DIS ARE DE SAME DAT MAKE DE DIFFERENCE IN OTHER CLUB. FELIPE LUIZ IS A PLAYER DAT COMBINED WELL WELL WITH HAZARD ON THE LEFT FLANK TO ATTACK EFFECTIVELY AS COMPARE TO AZIPLECUETA.
