Mourinho: Arsenal, Man United can win Premier League title

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has conceded that this afternoon’s 1-1 draw with Southampton may have paved the way for Arsenal and Manchester United to enter the Premier League title race.

Dusan Tadic cancelled out Diego Costa’s opener at Stamford Bridge as the table-topping Blues missed the chance to move eight points clear of second-placed Manchester City, who lost 1-0 at Burnley yesterday.

The Gunners sit seven points off the pace in third, one ahead of United in fourth, and Mourinho – whose side also have a game in hand – says that it is no longer a two-horse race for the title.

“I agree that Chelsea not winning at home is not a good result but we had a five-point lead before the match and afterwards we have a six-point lead,” he told reporters.

“I’m happy with the situation and the six-point lead but not happy with the result. There is a danger of more teams being in the title race.”
