Chelsea ace Eden Hazard has blasted manager Jose Mourinho for selling Kevin De Bruyne, insisting that the Blues would’ve been better with the Belgian schemer.

The Wolfsburg star has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest properties, having scored 14 times and created another 21 this season.

Manchester City are among those considering a summer swoop, with his agent recently stating that it would take at least €50 million to secure his signature.

The 23-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and sold last January, but Hazard says that Mourinho was wrong to let his compatriot leave.

“He is a great player. Mourinho decided to let him go and not play him,” Hazard told French publication L’Equipe.

“It was not my decision, even though I know very well that he could play at Chelsea because he has tremendous qualities.

“I think at Chelsea, you have more pressure than Wolfsburg. It’s a shame he’s gone but he’ll have a successful career.”
