Chelsea are weighing up a club-record £71 million summer move for out-of-form Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to reports.
Without a goal or an assist in eight matches, the Welshman has fallen foul of the Bernabeu faithful in recent months as he struggles to justify his world-record £85m move from Spurs in 2013.
It is also understood that the 25-year-old winger is something of a loner in the Spanish capital, having seemingly become reluctant to integrate with his team-mates, prompting speculation of a move away.
Manchester United have been regularly linked with a mega-money move but, according to The Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho is among the interested parties and would sanction his £300,000-a-week salary.
Bale, who has also been linked with Manchester City, is said to be keen on proving himself with the European champions, though a big offer could tempt him back to England.

Bale on the left and hazard on the hazard, that would be a treat. actually this move totally makes sense
Please chelsea needs a player like bale,if £71m can bring him, then buy him,he would be a perfect player under mourinho.
that will be a perfect deal for Chelsea. he need to move on quickly by changing location.
Too much money on aflop, why cnt chelsea spend only 20m on a good alternative of Reus?
We really need he!CHELSEA FOR LIFE!!!
Plz bring bale back to Chelsea and we will win a second UCL title.
300 a week? that will be too much. it will make other players to start demanding on pay rise. let’s forget abt him. our wingers are okay. we need a prolific striker not a box attacker like Costa. let’s go for Zlatan. ***smiles***
