Oscar is confident that Chelsea can follow their Capital One Cup success by winning the Premier League AND the Champions League this season.
The Blues beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Wembley on March 1 to clinch the first part of a potential treble, with Jose Mourinho’s side also going strong in the remaining competitions.
Chelsea boast a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand, and will host Paris Saint-Germain in a second-leg round-of-16 Champions League clash tonight.
The West Londoners endured a trophyless season last term, but Oscar says that he and his team-mates now have the consistency necessary to sweep all before them this time around.
“I think this season we are more consistent. We have stayed at a high level and played well, but to do that we have to work hard and the team does this every game,” he told the club’s official website.
“That helped us to win the Capital One Cup and I think, with this approach, we can win more competitions this season.
“These biggest games are games for great players. Chelsea have a lot of big players who will want to show their quality to win the game but we know it is going to be difficult.
“I have been here for three years and in the big games I think Chelsea always play well. Tonight, I think we will play well, for sure. It will not be an easy game but we will try our best to win it.”
