Tennis legend Boris Becker has been forced to deny suggestions that he is a Chelsea hooligan after being photographed wearing a scarf associated with the club’s primary firm.

The German was in attendance at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday to watch his beloved Blues exit the Champions League on away goals to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the 47-year-old caused a bit of a stir when photographs emerged of him wearing a scarf that has been linked to Chelsea’s infamous ‘Headhunters’ firm.

The item in question had the firm’s emblem – a skull – emblazoned on it, but the six-time Grand Slam winner insists that it was an honest mistake on his part.

“I wasn’t aware of that,” he told Bild. “I own at least 10 scarfs and just grabbed one I bought at a stall outside the stadium a few years ago. I am the last to support hooligans.”
