Radamel-Falcao

Despite moving from Atletico Madrid to AS Monaco only several months ago Chelsea are still being linked with Radamel Falcao and the French media claim the interest is serious.

Even before his £53 million move in the summer to France the media were already speculating that the Ligue 1 club was merely a stepping stone for the Colombian, who they suspected would end up at Real Madrid via Stade Louis II, but could Chelsea be his next destination?

The 27-year-old has scored 12 goals in 16 games for Claudio Ranieri’s side but is reportedly concerned with the standard of football in France and faces his salary being cut as a tax battle looms over Monaco’s status as a principality where footballers are currently earning tax-free salaries, a luxury that isn’t afforded to the league’s other clubs.

This has alerted the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid who could even go for Falcao in January as he is not cup-tied in the Champions League for this season. Charles Perrin’s piece in the Express even claims that Monaco risk having to pay a £75 million fine and we all know the player’s move was motivated by third-parties and money, so it’s never going to end well.

Falcao is probably the best forward in the world at the moment but I’m not sure how sympathetic Europe’s elite will be just because he may have made the biggest mistake of his career by going to Monaco and because he’ll still command a ridiculous fee Jose Mourinho may turn his attentions elsewhere, like Jackson Martinez of Porto.

The Blues could definitely do with a forward as no matter how much Fernando Torres improves it is doubtful that he would ever be the player of old on a consistent basis and although I believe Samuel Eto’o to be a very good and experienced option, he probably isn’t going to score enough to be considered as a guaranteed first choice.

It’s a bit daft that we’re still being linked with Falcao but do you think Chelsea’s interest could be genuine?

Is good to have player like Facao.
But my subjection to the chelsea boss, is that, he should move David Lewiz in front of the defenders.so that the back will be strong, not to sell him at all. He is berry good player.l dot want him to sell him.Thanks.
