Ramires v Madrid

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is to put Ramires at the top of his transfer wishlist for his current club Real Madrid.

The Italian manager is having a few problems in the midfield area of late as Xabi Alonso is currently out injured and has been linked with a departure to Liverpool or Juventus, as Andrea Pirlo’s replacement should he leave, whilst Real are also keeping an eye on Spurs’ Paulinho.

According to the Express, Ramires is keen on linking up with his former coach and the La Liga giants certainly possess the cash to make any club listen.

However, the 26-year-old has probably been the Blues’ most consistent performer in the early stages of the season and has become the first choice in central midfield as John Obi Mikel and Frank Lampard scrap for the other spot, so it would seem odd for him to consider a move at this stage.

The Brazilian has already scored three goals this season and looks to be thriving under Jose Mourinho’s leadership but it’s hardly surprising that Ancelotti’s side would want to try unsettle the player in a similar way to their bitter rivals Barcelona who are already working on turning Thibaut Courtois’ head  Both clubs also attempted to sway Juan Mata during the summer.

It’s something you just have to get used to when you possess Ramires’ sort of quality within your ranks and like everything these days it boils down to the will of the player and the money on offer, but I doubt they’ll front up enough cash.
