Chelsea’s kit suppliers adidas have revealed the club’s new third kit for the 2013/14 Premier League season following the launches of the ‘It’s Blue, What Else Matters’ and the white away strip.
‘It’s not black. It’s Blue’ says the tagline…it’s definitely black. According to the press release on Chelsea’s official website the shirt will be worn in select away fixtures and is designed to represent the ‘future of football’, allowing ‘optimal ventilation’.
Aside from all the technical waffle it’s a fairly smart kit and simple in design with its matte black colour and silver stripes. We’ll probably not see the players wearing it too often as is the case with most third-choice club apparel and it’s mainly there just for the purposes of sale, but what do you think?
