Eden Hazard v VillaChelsea winger Eden Hazard says that he’s focussed on finishing the season but admits that he cannot help getting caught in recent speculation and is excited by the prospect of working with Jose Mourinho.

The former Chelsea manager is expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and Paris Saint-Germain have claimed that the Spanish club made an approach for Carlo Ancelotti, it would seem that only Real’s ridiculous demand for a release fee is holding it all up and they also have a cup final to focus on.

Several of Chelsea’s players have already have already commented on a potential Mourinho return to Stamford Bridge, Benitez hinted at it and it seems as though everyone in football expects it to happen as Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Andre Villas-Boas have all said that his return would be a great thing for the league in terms of the challenge.

Hazard was quoted in French paper L’Equipe:

“I want him to come here. Mourinho is the best coach in the world. Here, he is not a God, but he’s not far off. Everyone is talking about it. The fans love him, the players love him. I will wait and see.”

So Hazard sees Mourinho as some sort of demi-god but his immediate worry is the Europa League final and Chelsea fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that he’s fit to play against Benfica as his genius and spark can open up any defence in the world. He’s already one of the clubs most potent weapons in his debut season, could a coach like Jose Mourinho help the Belgian negotiate the next step in his career as he bids to become one of Europe’s best footballers?
