Chalobah-McEachranChelsea duo Nathaniel Chalobah and Josh McEachran have been named in the England Under-21s squad for the upcoming European Championships.

Both players have been out on loan this season to Championship clubs, Chalobah at Watford and McEachran served a spell at Middlesbrough.

McEachran enjoyed regular football at the Riverside Stadium and formed a central midfield partnership with Grant Leadbitter and was awarded the club’s Young Player of the Season award, whilst Chalobah has been a revelation for Watford as he has helped them into the Championship Play-off final under the watch of Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola.

Hopefully Zola and his side will be in the Premier League next season as it could prove useful for Chalobah’s development if he was to be loaned out again next season, which is likely as he’s still only 18, and I’m sure the diminutive Italian could make use of some of our other young players.

Chalobah has made an impressive 41 appearances this season and has netted five times, including this effort against Leicester…

Congratulations to both McEachran and Chalobah, and the best of luck to them and England at the Under-21 European Championships.
